Humanising Work with Studio Lutalica

Studio Lutalica is a design and consultancy agency who work with clients who identify as women or LGBTQ+. The business is unapologetic in its commitment to championing design by women and queer people, and delivering on projects that serve these communities.

In the two years since the business was founded, Lutalica has worked with over 50 clients from seven different countries, proving that values do belong in business.

This talk will give you the chance to:

– Investigate your own values, and subsequently think about how these might be integrated into your business or working life more broadly.

– Consider the challenges of sticking to your values in a society that prioritises efficiency and financial gain at the expense of other outcomes.

– Discuss the benefits of alternative ways of working together.

– Build a brand and company culture that promote accessibility and inclusivity.

Speaker profile:

Hugh O'Keeffe (he/him) joined the Studio Lutalica team in September 2022. Hugh comes to the studio with a background in LGBT+ non-profit community organisations, including Tonic Housing and the Mosaic LGBT+ Young Persons Trust. In his time as the Assistant Director of the Mosaic Trust he worked directly with Studio Lutalica's Founder and Creative Director, Cecilia Righini.

Hugh is a Trustee of the Muscle Help Foundation and sits on the LGBT Consortium's D/deaf, Disabled, Neurodivergent Community Panel. He is persistently advocating for Queer, Feminist, and Disabled communities as well as the people at their intersections.

His connections and experience within London's charity sector drive him now in supporting the growth of Studio Lutalica to bring advocacy and activism to more Queer and Feminist communities.
