Join us for the first Fashion District Connect where businesses, designers & SMEs across the District can meet, learn, and grow their network. Each event will focus on a different theme, and we are delighted to be partnering with The Trampery on Friday December 4th 2020 to explore “the art of selling”.
We will be joined by Angela Quaintrell, the founder of AQ Market which supports and mentors top emerging designers across showrooms in London & Paris, who will provide insights into how businesses can work with retail buyers in this difficult climate, giving the 101 on what buyers want to see from a new label and how to present your collections. Sinead Koelher, the founder of Crafty Fox Market which supports emerging makers with selling opportunities across high-profile markets in London, will share her top tips on the art of selling. Becky Okell & Huw Thomas, founders of Paynter Jackets, a brand that champions an online pre-order model with sustainability at its heart, will explore how to pivot and win at direct-to-consumer online sales.
Businesses will then be able to enjoy a speed-networking session with other attendees coming from across the Fashion District. You’ll also have the opportunity to check out the stalls of our Fashion Digital Christmas Market, delivered in partnership with Waltham Forest Council, an online market showcasing the wares of up-and-coming local designers from the area – happy shopping!
