Join us for this special screening of 'Richard Batterham: Master Potter' and learn more about his life and work in his own words

The film ‘Richard Batterham: Master Potter’ was produced by the Joanna Bird Foundation to celebrate Richard Batterham’s extraordinary contribution to ceramics. A unique insight into the daily practice of a revered potter.

In this special screening, introduced by Joanna Bird (Joanna Bird Foundation) and Becky Luffman (co-curator, Richard Batterham: Studio Potter), catch a rare glimpse into the life of one of the most unique and independent potters of the 20th century. Filmed by Alex J. Wright in Richard’s pottery and home in Durweston, hear Richard speak about his personal archive of pots, which can be seen in the V&A display, Richard Batterham: Studio Potter.
Richard Batterham: Studio Potter will be on until 26 September 2022, in the Ceramics Galleries, Room 146.
Note: This is a free drop-in event, 14.00-15.00. The film will be shown 14.15-14.45.
