About Safia Qureshi:
Safia Qureshi is an award-winning Architect, innovation designer and educator. For over three years, she worked as Lead Architect, at the architecture practice Sheppard Robson. As well as working on residential and mixed-use projects, she designed, coordinated and delivered large-scale commercial developments worth over £290 million.
CupClub was born of Safia’s interest in technology and design and how their intersection can boost the circular economy. She is passionate about empowering other founders, designers and technologists (women in particular) to think circular.

About CupClub:
Environmental causes are amongst people’s highest priorities – and it’s no wonder. Over 14 million disposable cups are being used in the UK on a daily basis, with a measly 1% being successfully recycled. At this rate, our oceans will be filled with more plastic than fish by 2050 - and we believe there’s no day like today to make a change.
Introducing CupClub™: a returnable packaging service designed to hold both hot and cold drinks. CupClub™ offers a tailored end-to-end service helping to eliminate single-use plastic packaging.
Not only does CupClub™ make it easy to do the right thing, but the product itself is a level up from disposable cups. Designed to be user-friendly, CupClub™ cups keep their contents hotter for longer. And of course, every part of the process is ecologically mindful.
All of CupClub™’s products produce half the carbon footprint of single-use disposable cups over a typical lifecycle. Every time we pick up the used units, we schedule a drop-off of fresh cups at the same time – each trip is coordinated to be as eco-friendly as possible. Even the process of washing the cups is optimised to ensure the minimum amount of water is used to clean the maximum amount of units.
CupClub™ partners with catering companies, facilities management, retailers and brands to serve across in-house cafes, canteens, restaurants, coffee/tea points, self-serve stations and drinks vending machines. CupClub™ works with businesses to make drinks-on-the-go more sustainable, working together towards the ultimate goal of zero-waste.
