Organised by The Marketing Society
Our Future Leaders programme of events have been developed over recent years to provide insights and inspiration for Future Leader level members who are aspiring to senior roles in our industry.
Our final Future Leaders session of the year will take place on Tuesday 4 October from 1:00-2:30pm with Jill Walker, Head of Marketing at The Scottish Government as guest speaker.
Jill started her career in marketing at just 16 and was Scotland’s youngest Account Director at the age of 20. Jill worked her way through the ranks of Scotland’s best agencies before setting up her own agency in 2002. For nearly ten years Jill had great success with Family Advertising Ltd. until she gave in to the itch to try out the client-side.
Having joined the Scottish Government as Team Leader of Healthier Scotland, Jill has since progressed through the ranks to become Head of Marketing at the government.
Now responsible for one of the biggest budgets in Scottish advertising, Jill manages a considerable team across health, justice, education and parental topics. She won Marketing Star of the Year in 2013 and has contribute towards the many awards won over the years, including Team of Year several times over.
Jill is a strong supporter of the Marketing Society in Scotland having taken part in judging, running seminars, events and training. She is a people’s person and a real advocate for supporting talent no matter where that talent comes from. She is respected for her strategic ability to distil the most complex messaging into something digestible and push brave work forward.
Jill will be introduced by Lyndsay Snoddon, Account Director at The Union and member of the Future Leaders Advisory Group.
In this session, Jill will discuss the campaign planning and implementation process as well as other key skills for marketers.
Places at this free event will be restricted, so you should book as soon as possible either by emailing email@example.com or by the button below.
