Speakers:
Sophie Smallwood is the co-founder and co-CEO of Roleshare. She left Facebook, where she led enterprise Saas customer success, to build the world’s best shared skills platform with Roleshare. Her mission is to enable a sustainable, diverse, and happy workforce. The platform matches professionals looking for part-time work together for full-time roles; and helps businesses find fresh talent for their role, while reducing turnover and amplifying DE&I and wellbeing. When not working or being mommy, you can find Sophie on a Peloton or listening to social science podcasts.
Polly Howden is Roleshare CPO & proud member of the LTL team. An instinct for product innovation and lived experience of leadership roles as a mother led her to join the Roleshare team. She believes technology + teamwork will revolutionise how people work/live and plans to be at the forefront, shaping it for good. She's worked for market-leading digital companies like eBay, start-ups and in consulting/advisory roles. A portfolio career of flexible roles has made space for work/life variety and to follow her passions while being mum to her young son.
Sherelle Folkes has worked in PR for 20+ years, primarily within financial services and technology, from start-ups to FTSE 250 firms. Starting her career in journalism, Sherelle honed her skills as an intrepid news hound and editor, before taking a lateral jump to PR at a time when firms were looking to those with specific editorial experience to strengthen their external communications. Currently she shares the position of Head of External Communications at the OBIE alongside expert communicator Nichola Johnson-Marshall, and has become an advocate for role sharing as a way to achieve the elusive work/life balance. She says doing so has made a huge difference in her own life, particularly in becoming a more present parent.
Nichola Johnson-Marshall has over 20+ years’ experience working in external communications agency side and in-house. She’s worked for brands such as eBay, lastminute.com, Barclays and LinkedIn. A passionate advocate for flexible working, working parents and equality in the workplace, she believes everyone deserves to be happy and fulfilled at work. She pivoted her career, retrained as a career coach and set up Working Wonder, a career coaching and training consultancy, with her twin sister Calli Louis. Missing the thrill of the news media, Nichola also returned to PR and heads up External Communications for OBIE in a role share with Sherelle. Together they are passionate ambassadors for the benefits of role shares for employees and companies.
