What to expect?
10 –10.30 am: Breakfast + networking
10.30 – 11 am: Introduction to the Good Growth Hub and a sneak peak into programmes and opportunities coming up in 2023
11am – 12pm: Creatives in the Industry Live - panel talk by alumni with tips and insights in working in-house and freelance
12 – 1pm: CV, application and interview workshop: 121 advice on your CV, applications or upcoming interviews by Creative Society and our team of friendly experts to help your current job search
About the Good Growth Hub
The Good Growth Hub is an employment and skills training programme with a physical space located at Hackney Bridge.
The Good Growth Hub connects Park based and local employers in the creative, cultural and technology sectors, with local residents, aged 18-30 from the neighbouring boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.
It does this through a range of activities that are co-designed with local residents, local employers, borough partners, community partners and other key stakeholders. Examples of these activities include employability and technical skills training, apprenticeships, London Living wage paid traineeships, bespoke careers advice and guidance and support for freelancers and small businesses.
Through this work, the Good Growth Hub helps Park based and local employers to develop inclusive working cultures and recruit talent that better reflects the local community
About Creative Society
The Creative Society is an employment charity that helps young people wanting to work in the creative and cultural sector. We are driven by our conviction that creativity is central to what it means to be human and that this sector should be open to everyone. They provide a personal and tailored support system as you take steps towards a career in the creative, cultural and digital technology industries.
