What is ‘How to be Confident’?
How to Be Confident is a 2.5 hour class by The School of Life which takes place regularly in our virtual classroom over Zoom. It is one of 12 classes around our 4 core themes: Love, Work, Self and Culture. Further information on how to connect to the class will be made available once you have purchased a ticket.
Why should I attend?
Many people struggle with confidence in their personal and professional lives. We may lack confidence in sharing our ideas, making new connections or asking for what we want.
There is a common misconception around confidence being an in-born personality trait – as people, we are either confident or not. On the contrary, at The School of Life we strongly believe that confidence is a skill that can be practised and learned. This class is for anyone who wants to build confidence in some area of life.
What will I learn?
How to Be Confident teaches:
- How to overcome Impostor Syndrome.
- How to understand and overcome shyness.
- How to conduct personal and private negotiations with confidence and poise.
- To have courage and confidence in our own agency – that is, the ability to make important changes in our lives.
