This practical workshop is an essential beginner’s guide to PPL for all musicians. Using PPL, you can monetise your music.
PPL is the UK’s music licensing company for over 120,000 performers and recording rights holdersrightsholders. PPL have been licensing the use of recorded music in the UK since 1934. PPL’s members range from session musicians and emerging artists to major record labels and globally successful performers – all of whom are entitled to be fairly paid for the use of their recorded music. This session covers what we do, the market we license, the difference between PPL and PRS for Music, revenues collected and distributed, international collections and how you can join PPL.
About Chloe Rowlatt
Chloe is the Head of International at PPL, the UK’s music licensing company for performers and recording rights holders. Chloe is responsible for managing PPL’s International team and ensuring strong operational relationships are maintained with the company’s unrivalled network of 105 collective management organisations (CMOs) across Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. Having worked at PPL for over 7 years in several different teams, Chloe has developed an in-depth knowledge of PPL and the wider neighbouring rights industry.
