Join actresses Gemma Knight-Jones and Koral Neil in conversation with A Black actress creator and photographer Shonay Shote.

In a live-streamed discussion, we will be celebrating the highs, acknowledging the lows, and finding out what being A Black actress means to them.

Touching on a wide-ranging number of topics, including hair politics on production sets, the importance of Black female role models and the future of Black women on stage and screen. We will also be answering audience questions and showcasing a selection of the images from the series.

Gemma Knight-Jones is an actress, singer and co-director of Songbird Sessions. She as featured on stage in shows including the Lion King, Sister Act and Falsettos.

Koral Neil is an actress and afro hair activist working to end hair and makeup discriminatory practices towards Black, Asian and minority ethnic actors in the UK TV, Theatre and Film sector. She has appeared on tv productions including BBC soap Eastenders and Call The Midwife.

Shonay Shote is a freelance beauty and fashion photographer whose work has featured in Pride magazine and has worked with brands including The Perfume Shop and Tropic Skincare.
