Paint along with artist Leo Crane as he guides you through a series of practical exercises to explore different creative effects. From medieval miniatures to Turner, Constable and Hockney, you will discover how artists over the centuries have conjured mood and movement with the lively and luminous medium of watercolour.

You will experiment with washes, blooms, spattering and dry brush techniques as well as everyday household items such as salt and clingfilm to add texture to your painting. You will then have the chance to apply these techniques to a study painting, using a fast, painterly approach to make the most of the medium’s fluidity.

Please note: Materials are not included, please find a list of recommended materials by downloading the programme.

General tickets will be on sale from 11 August
