Product design touches all aspects of our daily lives, but how often do we stop to consider why the stuff that surrounds us is the way it is? Join us on this £1 taster course and gain an insight into the world of product design.
You will get an overview of the field of product design and gain insights into some of the methods and approaches used by product designers.
The taster session will introduce a playful approach to problem-solving, identifying and coming up with ideas for everyday design problems.
Who should attend this session?
This taster session is aimed at anyone with an interest in product design or taking the Introduction to Product Design Online Short Course.
No previous knowledge is required to attend this taster session.
Outcomes
By the end of this taster course students should:
• Gain an understanding of the role of product design
• Have an introduction to some of the methods and approaches of the Introduction to Product Design Online Short Course
• Completed a short taster exercise identifying and trying to solve problems
• Experience how to navigate and use the tools of the online learning environment
You will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and leave with a greater awareness of product design and of your potential.
