We will also have a time reserved for Q&A, so come along and ask questions to find out if coding is for you!
About the Instructor
Sam Harris
Android Lead, Jackrabbit Mobile
Sam Harris is the Android Lead at Jackrabbit Mobile, and has been developing Android Apps in Austin for over 2 years. He has built Android apps from scratch, ported over iOS apps to Android, redesigned existing apps, and even taken over the relaunch of an app with over 2 million downloads on the Play Store. Sam has a passion for working with the Austin Android community and is a co-organizer for the Austin Droids meetup in town.
Vez Maxwell
UI Designer/Developer, Sana Life Science
Vez is a London-based UI Designer/Developer. Transitioning to tech from an originally creative background, she completed the 12-week software engineering intensive course in October 2021. As a newfound developer with an artistic flare, she landed a position with Sana Life Science, a company who were seeking just that - someone who could merge the design and front-end development needs of a small team and run with it.
Toby Aurelius
Software Engineer, Deliveroo
Toby is a Software Engineer currently found writing golang at Deliveroo! He started his engineering career in 2016 as an apprentice as part of Sky's Software Engineering Academy, since then he's worked in teams at Sky, Kaluza (OVO Energy), Popsa, and now, Deliveroo.
Rob Legg
Head of UK Development, Develop
Rob has worked as a specialist .NET Recruiter for the past seven years, where he’s built teams in the Microsoft .NET community placing Engineers of all levels from hyper growth start-ups through to FTSE50 brands.
Having always had an interest in coding, during the pandemic Rob decided to deepen his knowledge on the .NET Framework and started to learn the basics. Robs passion for learning to code has meant he’s completed coding courses in C# Fundamentals as well as setting up Visual Studio, Drawing a Shape, Variables, Data Types, Strings, User Input, and working with numbers (integral numeric types).
When he’s not placing candidates or learning to code you can find Rob enjoying the English coastline cycling or surfing with his partner Steph and dog Agnes.
