J2v VIRTUAL FESTIVAL EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT
We are pleased to announce the rescheduled date for J2v Virtual Festival as Saturday 11th July. The now extended broadcast is again gearing up to stream across the multiple stages of Junction 2’s new digital world.
The evolved J2v is a direct response to a process of reflection and education within our team over recent weeks. The addition of BLM as a beneficiary charity will sit alongside a review and update of our line-up. The diversity of the original line-up was not reflective of our passion to always welcome everyone onto our dance floors and into our DJ booths.
We begin this journey with Carl Craig, a long time LWE collaborator who will host and curate a new 4th stage for J2v which focuses on DJ talent from Detroit, the birthplace of our scene. This project will debut at J2v and will be a long-term commitment, as we strive to support increased diversity.
Alongside the mind-bending visuals of our virtual stages, expect Digital Art Exhibitions, The J2v Bar, a Speakers Corner and more in a digital world that brings our community together in blended reality.
Here’s to welcoming you all onto our virtual dance floor and we ask you to join us un in raising as much money as we can for some great charities.

To mark our traditional June date, Junction 2 can announce a one-off online and radio event on Saturday 11th July 2020. Welcome to J2v…
J2v will take place in 2 worlds. There is our world, a land of rules and gravity. And there is the world we are creating. J2v will thrust the underground dance community together in both, merging the digital world with the natural and blending realities.
For this six-hour broadcast, we’re busy creating a 3D online platform complete with music stages where J2v will exist. This digital environment is constructed of geometric planes, abstract structures and mind-bending visuals. It’s a place where you’re free to roam and interact with the world, while communicating in real time with fellow attendees via a private chatroom.
FEATURING EXCLUSIVE DJ SETS
Linking with our brand partners and sponsors to create an interactive experience, you’ll have the option to tune into J2v via webcast or radio. Our website will serve as the central 3D hub, although you'll also have the option of joining through your favourite social media platforms.
You can expect some of the world class artists who have helped define the sound and identity of Junction 2 throughout its history. The DJs selected were either set to play this year’s festival or have played at past editions. Each will be providing sets exclusively for J2v.
4 UNIQUE MUSIC STAGES
Over 20 of the planet’s finest house and techno artists will be spread across four unique ‘stages’. In keeping with the Junction 2 spirit, these stages will have their own visuals, vibe and aesthetic and you are free to flit between them or remain stationary at your own leisure. Allowing for real-time peer-to-peer engagement and boosted by immersive effects, we are confident you’ll enjoy your experience of J2v.
RAISING FUNDS FOR IMPORTANT CAUSES
In addition to prize giveaways and merchandise, we’ll also be using this unprecedented online gathering to raise much needed funds for the charities Black Lives Matter, The Care Workers' Charity, Refuge, The Outside Project and The Trussell Trust foodbanks; these are all close to our heart in these unprecedented times.
