Organised by Zinc VC

We are excited to invite you to the launch of Zinc’s Venture Builder: to ensure that every child and young person can develop and maintain good mental and emotional health.

Introduced by Nadhim Zahawi, Secretary of State for Education, you'll get the chance to hear about our ambitious plans for creating innovative solutions to improve the mental health of children and young people. It’ll be an evening of celebration, fun, experiences and an opportunity to meet new people and reconnect with others.

On November 1st, 70 entrepreneurs from all walks of life, including doctors, professors, serial entrepreneurs, engineers, creatives, teachers, investors, marketeers, and clinicians will come together in Zinc’s next venture building programme - with one aim: to build new innovative, mission driven and globally scalable companies that are tackling the urgent challenges to improve mental health.

We’d love you to join us at the beginning of this journey, and have the opportunity to meet the Founders, Fellows, Partners and Zinc’s wider network - of individuals and organisations all united by their passion and commitment to help find new innovative solutions to improve the mental health of children and young people.

Event Agenda

Please arrive at 6pm to allow time to explore our special venue, and learn more about this mission.

Nadhim Zahawi, Secretary of State for Education will kick off the talks at 7pm. You will also have the opportunity to hear from our co-founders, Paul Kirby and Ella Goldner and from Paul Lindley, children's welfare campaigner and Founder of Ella's Kitchen. We will also be introducing the winner of the Rose Acton Award for a female technical founder.

There will be time to meet other people from Zinc’s wide network, get to know some of the Founders on this mission, and learn more about the 9 opportunity areas underpinning our approach to developing innovative solutions for this mission.

Where & When

The event will take place at Kidzania, the indoor city run by kids to empower children and young people to discover their individual passions, talents and skills through immersive experiences.

Those of you who have visited Kidzania before will know that, ordinarily, you’re not allowed in unless you’re accompanied by children. However, Zinc's launch event will allow you to come in with or without children, to immerse yourself in this exciting, creative and fun experience.

There will be opportunities for playing, creating and networking. Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
