Join us on Thursday August 17 for our next magCulture Meets night, when we’ll be marking the publication of the 13th issue of food and travel magazine Fare.
Founder/Editor-in-chief Ben Mervis and Creative director Ric Bell will introduce the new issue of their magazine, and contributor Krisztina Fazekas will be reading an excerpt from her piece about Hungarian folk tales in the issue.
The team last spoke at one of our events back in 2018, since when their magazine has estblished itself as a vital part of the indie food sector. Every issue focuses on a different city, sometimes somewhere famously foodie, sometimes somewhere less so. This latest issue covers Budapest, Hungary, and is another eclectic mix of the expected (peppers, paprika, stews) and surprising (vegetarian soups, the restored bridges across the Danube and the local bathing culture).

Our magCulture Meets evenings have run since 2016. They take place at the magCulture Shop in Clerkenwell; doors open at 630pm, the talks start at 7pm, and attendees can stay afterwards for a drink, chat and browse.
