On the 14th of July 2022, French artist Marylou Faure will open her new solo exhibition ‘Skinny Dipping’ - a playful series of artwork based on the feeling of freedom that comes when swimming nude.

The main piece of Marylou’s new show will be a 4m tall inflatable sculpture that will be displayed in the beautiful quarters of Cuemars, in Brick Lane. The piece represents one of Marylou’s self proclaimed “babe” diving into a splash of water, seconds before she is submerged into the wonders of the underwater world.

‘Skinny Dipping’ represents the weightlessness, carefreeness and the sensation of complete freedom you get from being immerse under water, detached from the rest of the world in a soundless bubble.

Marylou exhibited a similar piece in Shanghai in 2021, with a 5m tall inflatable character based on her ‘Daydream’ piece. Since then, she’s wanted to bring the largeness of the scale to East London.

Alongside the inflatable sculpture will be displayed hand painted resin figurines, large scale prints as well as original acrylic creations.

‘Skinny Dipping’ will be on display at Cuemars (located at 8 Dray Walk, London E1 6QL) from the 14th of July 2022, for the duration of a month. The opening will be at 5pm on the 14th of July.
