In this series we invite globally respected studios to walk us through the processes and methods they employ when working with clients. On Wednesday 1st March Vinay Mistry, Executive Creative Director, DesignStudio, will share the processes they employ when building the projects they are globally respected for. Our aim is to go behind–the–scenes and explore the methods teams use because we believe our events can inspire a generation of creatives by sharing knowledge and insight.

Vinay Mistry
Originally from Bradford, West Yorkshire, Vinay is a multi-award winning Executive Creative Director at DesignStudio. With over 10 years of experience Vinay has led multiple projects for brands including the BBC, Bentley, Williams F1, Motorola and Virgin amongst many others.

Vinay’s personal mission is to leave a better world for the next generation through the power of experimental design. This is evidenced by his recent work for mental health charity, Mind, which enables them to reach more people who need them. Meanwhile, he recently designed a new competition for the English Cricket Board that would make cricket accessible for everyone, not just the elite.

As a person of South Indian heritage, Vinay passionately believes that innovative design comes from creatives with diverse perspectives and cultures. He spearheads hiring creatives from around the world, as well as promoting young people to have an equal voice in the design industry. He also lectures across the UK at leading design universities alongside leading the internationally based, Popped Corn Collective; a group of designers that love to create, explore and experiment.

Tickets
Accessibility is one of our core values and from 2023 all tickets to our masterclass sessions will be on a donation basis. We want everyone to be able to access our content because we believe that this is how we will empower the creators of tomorrow. Donation tickets give you the opportunity to pay what you can afford and all proceeds will be invested in our community initiatives.

About Right Aligned
Our aim is to build a digital first platform that shares the experiences of people working in design. We do this by exploring authentic issues, common problems and relatable topics including diversity, well–being and equality. We believe it is now time to make creative arts accessible to all, irrelevant of age, ability and background.
