In this Night Shoot for Beginners Photography Workshop, you tutor will guide you in how to get the best from an evening photography session.
Attendees can expect to learn more about various aspects of setting up their cameras including focusing modes, bracketing, self-timer and long exposures. The aim of the session will be to prepare you to capture some stunning images after the sunsets and the aircraft are lit with professional lighting. The workshop will start at 2.30pm, your afternoon will begin with informative photography theory. You will then test out some of this knowledge using the incredible collection of aircraft and exhibits as your subjects. Here you will have chance to practice the skills and techniques required for achieving the perfect night-shoot without the pressure and before it gets dark.
You will then spend some time learning how to photograph some of our iconic aircraft in our First World War hangar, in conditions similar to what we will experience later in the evening. It will include the chance to step across the barrier and take up-close shots of the rare aircraft from the period. You will then have chance to return to the class room to review your images and refresh before we join the full night shoot in Hangars 3,4 and 5. After a short safety briefing you will work alongside the tutor to capture some of the iconic Second World War aircraft, which will be lit up with unique lighting. This will be your chance to challenge your newly-refined photography skills with some rewarding low-light photography. Expert a chance to capture some unusual clean shots away from the public.
