COURSE OVERVIEW

This course examines the interiors and exteriors of houses that have come to define modern architecture and design. Individual sessions will consider the history and progress of each project, their planning and materials, the relationships between architects and clients, in addition to the houses’ furniture and decorations. We will also consider what makes each building so innovative for its time, and consider the case for preserving them, unchanged, for posterity.
