Jessica Smith is an illustrator and mixed media artist from the UK. Her work is playful using bright bold shapes to create joyful artworks using gouache and digital techniques. Jessica has collaborated with clients such as Kate Spade, Oxfam, and Adobe. You can come across her bold, happy designs on packaging, greetings cards, children’s books and more.
On the 24th of September Jessica will be in the Wolf & Badger London store producing live artwork onto Papersmiths’ British-Made notebooks. Bring in your old Papersmith’s notebook for a refresh or purchase one in-store to be decorated for free by the talented Jessica. By Jessica illustrating your notebook, it can become timeless. Once you’ve used up your pages inside, simply take off the cover and frame the front page.
Some extra customised notebooks will be available to purchase following the 24th but they will be limited, one of a kind and are expected to sell fast. So pop in to guarantee a personalised notebook so you don’t miss out.
The Papersmiths notebooks are designed in Hackney, then printed and bound in Buckinghamshire. They contain 100gsm smooth, fountain pen-friendly paper stock for minimal show-through. They've used lay flat binding, so the notebook opens without forcing the spine. The cover is 270gsm produced in the Lake District and is bound on with the front and rear hinges only – so it’s easy to remove and frame your decorated cover! The cover is also subtly blind embossed with ‘Papersmiths’ on the back and a satisfying thumbprint-sized monogram on the front.
