On Wednesday 16th February, we’re back with another Pep Talk – this time with creative lead at It’s Nice That, John Muleba. Tune in at 1pm on Instagram Live as John talks about his journey and career through working in luxury fashion and transitioning to creative lead in editorial; as well as his advice on coming up with creative ideas and responding to briefs.

About John Muleba

Based in London, John Muleba is the creative lead across editorial and commercial brand partnerships at editorial platform (and our sister company!) It’s Nice That. Covering a range of disciplines such as graphic design, animation, film, art and branding, John oversees the visual output from the creative team, commissioning and creating the visual elements behind the platform’s articles, events and partnerships such as Review of the Year and Ones to Watch projects.

Before joining the team last year as the most senior creative, John worked in the fashion world for eight years. Having originally studied fine art – and admitting that he thought “Givenchy was a patisserie” – before going into fashion, he started out as the editor-in-chief of XXY Magazine before going on to lead visual and corporate identity projects for luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Alexander McQueen.

Having worked across everything from the design of windows and pop ups to events and branding, John has a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to answering briefs and coming up with engaging visual ideas. He’ll be ready to answer all your questions, so be sure to tune in on 16th February!

See more from John on his Instagram.
