Organised by Women's Prize Trust

If you’re a writer with a story inside you, join our Women’s Prize × Grazia First Chapter competition judges and fellow industry experts as they give insight and advice for starting your writing journey, and enjoying every step of the way.

Kenya Hunt, Deputy Editor of Grazia UK and 2021 First Chapter judge, will chair our panellists: global bestselling author Dorothy Koomson, our 2021 First Chapter judge and mentor; editor/writer Mireille Harper and literary agent Viola Hayden.

They will discuss: what it takes to start a literary career; the importance of mentoring, peer support and community; and their best advice for integrating writing into your daily life – plus you will have the opportunity to ask them your own questions.

Dorothy will also reveal the winner and runners-up of our eleventh annual Women’s Prize × Grazia First Chapter Competition, selected from hundreds of entries.

In buying a ticket you’re supporting the work of the Women’s Prize Trust, enabling us to empower women at the start of their writing journey to raise their voice and own their story, regardless of their age or background.

This event will be hosted on a Zoom webinar (ticket holders will be emailed the Zoom link on the day of the event).
