WOW Festival returns to take over Southbank Centre for the ultimate celebration of women, girls and non-binary people.
Your Saturday Day Pass will give you access to talks, workshops, performances and more to spark ideas, inspiration, tackle difficult topics, and celebrate the amazing achievements moving gender equality forward from across the world.
We’ll be discussing a huge range of timely topics from the history of Bengali activism in the UK with academics, Fatima Rajina and Shabna Begum, and activists Farzana Khan and Raisa Hassan who will open the session with a beautiful poetry performanceand we’ll ask if murder is girl talk in a session about women's obsession with True Crime.Author of All the places I’ve ever lived in, Kieran Yates and award winning journalist Charlie Brinkhurst-Cuff join us for a session on how we can radically reimagine ideas of home in a frank and lively discussion on housing. There’ll also be sessions on hair loss and the impact that has with Gina Atinuke Knight and a chance to do some rage journaling!

There’ll be pressing political conversations on making the case for free childcare as childcare costs rocket in the UK and an urgent conversation on Climate with former Irish President, Mary Robinson and activist Pat Mitchell.
Sex Talks Founder, Emma-Louise Boynton joins us for an unmissable discussion on shifting sexual desires and the future of sex with guests to be announced.

English actress, comedian, writer, producer, and director Kathy Burke joins WOW for the first time ever, in conversation with WOW’s Founder Jude Kelly about her highly individual fascinating life and career.
A joyful explosion of conversation, community, new ideas, reasons to be enraged, enlightened, surprised and more. There’ll be big discussions trying to make sense of the world, big ideas proposing new ways forward, and chances to have silly fun too. Come and be spontaneous with us, hear new stories, and make new friends. More to be announced!
Many of the events in the day pass programme will be BSL Interpreted and/or Live Captioned.
Day passes are available for Friday and Sunday too. Each day features a completely different line-up, so you can buy passes for both, or just one. A programme of ticketed and digital events will also be announced in the coming months.
