Set Design w/ Rae Smith

The set for a stage production, tv show, film or installation is a key way to establish when and where the story takes place and convey meaning to the audience.

For this Roundtable session award-winning designer Rae Smith will share her own journey and examples of her work to help provide an insight into the world of set design and shed some light on the roles and responsibilities of a designer when working on a project.

Whether you have some set design experience or are just interested to find out more about the role, this Roundtable will provide your with the insight and inspiration to start unlocking your ideas.

ABOUT RAE SMITH
Rae Smith is an Olivier, Tony and OBIE award-winning British designer working across a wide variety of styles and genres. Rae’s theatre designs are frequently seen in Britain in the West End and at the National Theatre, in the USA, Europe, Japan and on International Tours. Productions include: War Horse (National Theatre), Barber Shop Chronicles (National Theatre / Roundhouse), Oliver Twist (Broadway), The Light Princess (National Theatre), This House (National Theatre), St. Joan (National Theatre) and wonder.land (MIF / National Theatre).
