A free two-hour introduction with practical insights into self-care and building resilience, and a safe space to start to acknowledge and manage the emotional aspects of your job search.
Surviving The Gap is a series of workshops designed to help you navigate the emotional challenges of job hunting. Whether you are between jobs or looking to move in a new direction, these workshops offer a safe space to consider your well-being and to explore tools to help you boost your resilience.
Each free workshop will last approximately 2 hours including time for further questions and discussion.
What to expect
- Recognition of Emotions: We understand that being between jobs can be challenging. This workshop offers a safe space to start to acknowledge and manage the emotional aspects of your job search.
- Consideration of Stress: Review the physical and emotional effects of stress and consider practical strategies to manage fight, flight, freeze and fawn responses, enhancing your ability to think creatively and perform better.
- Personal Reflection: Through individual, small and general group exercises you will have the opportunity to reflect on your current situation, identify challenges and explore personal reactions. This reflection helps in building awareness and developing personalised coping strategies.
- Practical Tools: We will introduce you to tools and techniques that you can use every day to enhance your awareness, self-care and self-management.
Our lead coach, Funke is a passionate Learning and Organisational Development Specialist with many years’ experience in large multi-site public and voluntary sector organisations including children’s charities, local government, education establishments and the NHS.
A life, career, and relationship coach, Funke is a qualified EFT and NLP practitioner in additional to holding a BA, MSc, PGCE and being a full member of the CIPD.
