This two-hour webinar led by artist and tutor Joe Richardson will help you to take charge of the way you discuss Contemporary Art and your art practice.

Through group discussions and reflective evaluation, this webinar will examine the language used to describe Contemporary Art and explore the potential to introduce personalised vocabulary to develop new, exciting and illuminating responses when describing and writing about artworks.

This webinar strives to make accessible the sometimes intimidating sphere of critical theory, to help you find your voice and build confidence in discussion situations.

Who should attend this session?

This webinar is aimed at artists, creatives, makers and writers hoping to discover a fresh perspective on how to discuss art critically and write about their own practice, and also those who are currently struggling to find a route into developing their own voice when responding to their practice and Contemporary Art.

This will be a useful workshop for artists studying at University or who have just left and are embarking on their creative careers and are regularly required to write about and discuss their practice.

For creatives who are looking for effective ways to draw upon their personal experience to write artist statements/critical reflections.
