Zoom Webinar - London, United Kingdom

Organised by gal-dem magazine

A roundtable discussion hosted by Yomi Adegoke, gal-dem and Spotify UK exploring what is next for Black women in podcasting. As we come to the end of 2020, launch Spotify SoundUp 2020, and celebrate Black History Month, what should we be celebrating, and what should we be challenging?

Black women's voices in podcasting have been heard louder and further than ever this year, and the success of podcasts such as The Receipts, Broccoli Content Anthems, Slay In Your Lane and Black Gals Livin’ is evidence of this, but there is still so much work yet to be done. Join us and the voices from two of these hit podcasts -Tolani Shoneye one third of The Receipts, Vic and Jaz from Black Gals Livin' and Renay Richardson of Broccoli Content Anthems - as we discuss how we move forward, the spaces Black women's representation is still sorely needed, and what actionable steps aspiring podcasters can take to be heard in this new podcasting landscape.
