Join us for a one day workshop with Katie Greenall to discover how you can make theatre about your own experiences and develop as an artist.

Some of today’s most popular plays and shows are based on real experiences. In this workshop you’ll learn techniques and exercises for drawing on your own experience to create autobiographical work or work that is inspired by things you’ve experienced, and begin the process of shaping it into a performance.

Whether you have an idea or are looking for inspiration, this workshop will guide you through the making process and offer you a selection of practical tools to help make your own work.

Who will be teaching the project?
Katie Greenall (she/they) is a facilitator, theatre maker and writer living in London. She makes autobiographical work, that often explores fatness, queerness and community, alongside making work with young people and communities across London. Previously, Katie performed her award-winning autobiographical solo show, FATTY FAT FAT and is currently developing her new show BLUBBER.

Do I need any particular skills or experience to take part?
This workshop is designed for early career artists looking to develop their practice. You will need some previous experience of performing and aspirations to create work for theatre, as well as an openness to share and learn.
