WHAT'S ON
Hands-on workshop designing User Interface wireframes and rapid prototyping in Figma (no previous knowledge required).
💼 You'll create an interactive prototype of a mobile-first app or website UI working on a project brief in just under 8 hours, which you'll then be able to run and test on your mobile phone.
📍 The course is run in-person at Canada Water Culture Space in London SE16 7AR. You can join online too via Zoom with live instructors (not recordings) – you'll be able to ask questions and we'll provide feedback on your work in real-time.
DAYS 1 & 2 — PROTOTYPING & PROJECT WORK
You'll create from scratch an interactive prototype of a mobile app or a large-screen kiosk using Figma in under 5 hours. Full-on project work for your portfolio.

- structuring content
emphasising the importance of starting design with content (not chrome), which is most relevant to users
- creating grid layout in Figma app
to visualise concepts bearing in mind different device form factors, including designing responsive UI for mobile
- embedding fonts, icons and graphics
to prepare all the assets for prototyping stage and handover to developers
- prototyping interactions
creating interactive rapid prototype (no code behind) to be used in-browser as well as real device, optimising for touch
- testing on a real device
sharing, testing and giving feedback on a working rapid prototype on your mobile phones
