This two-part open studio will present a documentary film showing the story of fabrics rescued from a local cotton mill that has recently been shut down. The film will show the journey of the fabric from field to mill and then from disused and rejected fabric to its restoration and renewal at the hands of skilled women. The renewed fabric will be exhibited through an exhibition and performance available to explore online.

This event is part of a Fashion Open Studio programme in partnership with the British Council's The Climate Connection global programme and campaign. Nine designers from across the world have been selected in response to the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26 themes of Adaptation and Resilience and Nature.
