Our annual poems and story-telling event goes online this April with a stellar line-up including Birmingham Poet Laureate Casey Bailey and Sutton Coldfield author and actor Patrick Hayes.

Beginning at 8pm on Friday 30 April, this hour-long celebration of the written word will also feature verse and stories from across the globe as well as turning the spotlight on the campaigning work of Amnesty International.

Voices for Change: An Evening of Verse and Storytelling forms part of Amnesty International’s Festival Of Social Justice which features a host of online events this spring.

Sutton Coldfield Amnesty International Chair Andrew Hindle says: “Our poetry and story-telling events have been hugely successful each year and this spring we are going online – which means people all over the country, and even the world, can join us.

“We’re putting together a fantastic programme which will be fun but also thought-provoking as we highlight social justice and what it means to us.”

The event is free but places need to be booked in advance. Email suttonamnesty@gmail.com to secure your ticket.
