Organised by Zinc VC

Join us at this session to discuss different ways of looking at mental health with The Zinc Academy and industry experts.

About this Event

Zinc to build and scale a brand-new way to solve the most important societal problems faced by the developed world.

Our approach empowers the most talented and motivated people in the world to redirect their careers and have a large-scale social impact as entrepreneurs, researchers and intrapreneurs.
We focus on specfic 'missions' with an intensive programme that includes our two products: Venture Builder, and The Academy, in each mission.

This session is focused on different ways of looking at mental health. We'll be joined by experts in the field from a variety of different backgrounds (see speakers below).

  • Gregor Henderson, Director of Mental Health at Public Health England
  • Iain Jordan, Health Zinc Academy Lead, and experienced senior doctor in medicine, psychiatry, and healthcare informatics
  • Deborah Coghlin, Founder of Mental Health startup, Wakey
  • Rachel Carey, Chief Scientist at Zinc

This event is part of the launch of the *NEW* Zinc Academy, kicking off in early 2020, with the mission of Mental Health.

The Zinc Academy will unlock and accelerate the personal impact of those individuals who want to contribute other system-level solutions to Zinc’s missions, beyond start-ups. It’s a place for changemakers and people who want to hack the world, for good. Because Zinc believes if exposed to the right people, the right domain content, the right fuel and the right individual game plan - big change can happen in the missions that matter.
During our 9 month part-time programme, you’ll be exposed to the best in mental health learning and expertise, meet a powerful network of speakers and Fellows, be connected to unique placements and a portfolio of mental health start-ups, and meet a cohort of students who want to see change as much as you do.
