Clare Hoban returns with an Ofcom refresher session plus Q&A. Content is expected to be delivered to most broadcasters in a form which is ‘Ofcom compliant’. In this talk Clare will focus on key aspects of the Ofcom Broadcasting Code that deal with fairness to contributors, informed consent, not misleading audiences and an update on the key Ofcom privacy rules. This will be a non-legalistic, practical session with plenty of clips and examples to bring the issues to life.
Clare Hoban is a highly experienced television and film content lawyer at specialist content firm Reviewed & Cleared. A trusted advisor to many WFTV members, Clare works with production companies and broadcasters advising on the legal and Ofcom issues affecting content. She has in depth experience advising across every genre from comedy and light entertainment to breaking news and high profile factual documentaries and drama.
