About the role

As a senior member of the Client Leadership team for the International NBCU team , you will be accountable for the direction, organisation and delivery of a wide spectrum of marketing activities for these clients. Together with the Client Partner, you will be the owners of the relationship, custodians of agency profitability and guardians of quality across our groupM agency network. All to ensure Essence delivers flawlessly against client objectives, team happiness and commercial success:

Some of the things we'd like you to do:

The Account Director will oversee the day to day Account Management relationship for a clients across the film lifecycle from Theatrical to Home Entertainment. You will be accountable for the organisation, direction and delivery of all campaign activities and key transformation projects. Key to this role will be developing very strong day to day client relationships; establishing Account Management processes and best practice principles that ensure efficient delivery of client objectives; managing account teams to effectively respond to clients’ needs; and working closely with the Client Partner and the broader GroupM central team, to identify opportunities to grow client relationships beyond day to day operations.

NBC Universal is one of the world’s leading entertainment brands. The film studio boasts franchises such as Jurassic World, Bond and Fast and Furious, but also owns Dreamworks Animation (How to Train your Dragon) and Illumination (Despicable Me) making it one of the most lucrative studios in the world. This does not stop at in-cinema releases, with a part of the business focusing on watching content at home via digital or physical means.

As Account Director on NBCU, you’ll play a key role in delivering success across three different business units: Theatrical, New Media & Home Entertainment. You’ll work hand in hand with our strategy, data strategy, planning, analytics and activation teams and will be in constant communication with our clients, building trusted partner status and making a vital contribution to the overall success of our client-agency relationship.

A bit about yourself:

  • Strong digital experience across all channels, including display, biddable, social and mobile
  • 5-7 years’ experience working in a digital or integrated agency environment. You will already be working at Account Director level or be a very strong Senior Account manager looking for the next step in your career
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining senior level client relationships and ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience of coordinating and managing internal agency teams
  • Experience of leading a team and developing direct reports
  • Extensive understanding of and interest in all aspects of the media and marketing landscape
  • Self-starting and proactive attitude to work
