We are McDonald’s UK Strategic Retail agency, delivering the retail experience for nearly 4 million customers every day. Brands live, grow or die based on the customer experience they provide – how they serve, what they serve and what they say to their customers. The restaurant, and everything in it, is the most immediate point of connection to the brand, providing a tangible brand experience.
Our remit is incredibly varied and is focussed on the four key areas that define the customer experience: Food, People, Environment and Comms. We are an extension of their Marketing Team and work in an integrated fashion with our partner agencies to lead all Brand Participation activities (e.g. Monopoly at McDonald’s and other promotional mechanics). We provide all BTL marketing activation including digital, partnerships and direct.
Monopoly at McDonald’s is by far the largest and most integrated campaign that we deliver for McDonald’s every year (2019 will be its 14th year in the UK and 4th year in the Republic of Ireland). It’s also the biggest campaign that the McDonald’s Marketing team deliver within their calendar! As the lead agency for Monopoly, we take great pride in delivering sales beating Monopoly campaigns year on year. At TMS, we take on full campaign delivery, including digital and social media.
This role is responsible for supporting the team in delivering the execution of the Monopoly campaigns. This includes: Monopoly campaign concept development, mechanic generation, partner negotiations and prize pool development, legal processes (from facilitating approvals on creative work, to helping develop and review promotional Terms & Conditions), developing all the promotional packaging and in-store POP kits (print & digital), as well as ad hoc support to the UK TMS Client Service team to deliver the website development, online advertising and social media comms, specifically within the UK market.
Outside of Monopoly, there’s the opportunity to sink your teeth into other projects, working from concept development through implementation to post activity evaluation on all campaigns and brand planning activity.

Client & Team Partnership
  • Develop a strong relationship with McDonald’s Clients Partners (sometimes across multiple levels)
  • Display a passion for Monopoly and a willingness to deliver another award-winning, record breaking promotion as part of a wider team
  • Work closely & collaboratively within the Monopoly Team as well as build relationships with colleagues throughout the Agency and in different departments (Production, Creative & Digital)
Account Management
  • Demonstrate a collaborative approach– working effectively across different departments
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to multi-task, juggling priorities and managing time effectively
  • Proactively & independently support your Account Manager & Senior Account Manager
  • Proactively provide timely project status information and contact reports for line manager and the wider team
  • Demonstrate an appetite to broaden experience outside of the assigned day-to-day
  • Excellent attention to detail
People Management
  • Ensure your Account Manager and Senior Account Manager as well as the wider team are kept regularly informed and any key decisions are made as a team
The all-important numbers bit
  • Show an aptitude for understanding and assisting your Account Manager and Senior Account Manager in their day-to-day management of projects costs, quotes and budgets
  • Assisting the team to raise the required PO’s and Invoices to keep on track with the agreed Project Billing Schedules

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Agency experience at Account Executive level would be advantageous, but most important is your enthusiasm for marketing and willingness to get involved with all project areas
  • Experience of working with a creative department and knowledge of the production process
  • Strong IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
