ABOUT CALM
The Campaign Against Living Miserably, CALM, is leading a movement against suicide, currently the single biggest cause of death for men under 45 in the UK. On average, 16 people take their own life each day. Our free, confidential, and anonymous helpline and webchat service operates every day of the year, 5pm to midnight, for anyone in the UK who is feeling down or depressed. Through our campaigns and engagement activities, CALM aims to change culture so that people feel able to seek help before they reach a point of crisis, and family and friends feel better able to support each other.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The role will be focused on the management and delivery of CALM “collectives”. Collectives are communities of people brought together using the CALM brand and a shared interest and form a major element of CALM’s three-pronged approach to creating a happier society. The Collectives are at various stages of development, and this role is needed to drive this work forward under the guidance of the Senior Fundraising Manager as well as the wider Senior Leadership Team. Existing collectives are focused around football, running, cycling, art and food. A part of the role will be to roll out further Collectives that meet the lifestyles of our rapidly growing audience.
The role is 2 parts parctical, one part creative - the Collectives need to inspire people to join and participate and new Collectives will be developed rapidly.
Our supporters are passionate and you will create products ans services that make lives better, drive loyalty and ultimately grow revenue.
You will be passionate about the products, services and their members and will eciently deliver and run Collectives that make a real dierence to countless people’s lives.
WHO YOU ARE
  • Self-motivated and great with people - Confident using social media, project management tools and/or campaign builders
  • A team player who is happy to muck in with whatever is needed
  • Comfortable being on the front-line of supporter care
  • Not necessarily sporty, but understands how sport and other interests can inspire and support individuals
KEY FOCUS
  • Drive the launch, roll-out and growth of CALM Collectives including awareness, recruitment, engagement and events
  • Work with the CALM Communications team to recruit celebrity Ambassadors, key mentors and brand partners
  • Ensure all activity delivers a CALM service and actively makes members’ lives better
  • Integrate collectives work with CRM and Membership, working with the CRM team as appropriate
ROLE DESCRIPTION
  • Day-to-day management of the collectives; fielding enquiries, working with experts and colleagues to create ways for members to engage
  • Acting as main point of contact for all involved in collectives (experts, coaches, mentors, members etc)
  • Drive engagement in group between collective members, identifying key members and working with them to assist in engagement
  • Mentor volunteer management - recruitment, training & relationship management
  • Delivering content briefed in by the communication team through a variety of media including social, email campaigns and the CALM website
  • Ensuring safeguarding policies are up to date and adhered to at all times
  • Organising and managing events for collective members, including meet-ups, coaching sessions, tournaments and more
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to take CALM Collectives into new communities
  • Promoting other CALM opportunities to members as appropriate
  • Ensuring CALM services are promoted appropriately to members, working with the Services Dept
