Work closely with Account Directors and Account Executives, as well as senior members of the team, on a variety of projects to ensure successful and timely planning, development and implementation of project deliverables to the highest quality standards. Master and champion internal processes.
The Account Manager should provide direction, support and coaching to more junior members of the account team.
You will be a primary point of contact for the client, in conjunction with the account lead, providing updates, managing day-to-day project elements and working around any changes to planned activities that may occur.
You will be expected to be an ambassador for the Business Unit and wider agency whilst upholding the company values.
Manage the day-to-day running and coordination of accounts and projects, including management of the wider team
Develop knowledge of the internal environment in which clients operate, and build a good understanding of the client’s brand and therapeutic area, including key challenges, positioning and the market environment, bringing this knowledge into guidance and recommendations
Ensure implementation of all projects to the highest quality standards, meeting and managing all deadlines proactively
Develop and monitor project timelines, ensuring regular client updates and adapt as necessary throughout the life of the project
Establish and reinforce relationships with key client personnel, primarily marketing and regulatory teams
Ensure adherence to timelines and resolve any issues arising from changes to timelines
Communicate confidently, clearly and frequently with internal and external stakeholders
Possess a clear, succinct style of written communications with minimal support from the senior lead, whilst being able to identify where guidance is required
Lead TCs with client on agreed areas
Day-to-day management of tactics/projects within the agreed scope of work
Manage the studio process of documents including mark-ups, booking of studio time, briefing of creatives, designers, writers and production
Actively recommend and implement strategic & non-traditional solutions to solve problems
Arrange and run internal meetings, assigning appropriate task allocation and ensuring that the project team is briefed on project requirements, considerations and timelines
Provide regular client updates on ongoing account activity including development of status reports
Forward plan all preparation (agenda, hand-outs, liaison, team presentations) for client update meetings
Where appropriate, respectfully challenge clients to address concerns or development within the project process
Use own initiative to progress work to a sufficient level before involving and working with senior team members where appropriate
Proactively alert senior project lead to project issues and recommend appropriate strategies and solutions
Demonstrate thoroughness and resourcefulness in all account management tasks
Ensure and recommend appropriate task allocation to the internal team and recommend external freelancers/suppliers where appropriate (and maintain these relationships to ensure quality outputs)
Identify process issues and lead on problem resolution
Develop communication objectives & strategies (e.g. marketing/brand platform briefs)
