GLAMOUR is the UK’s leading female beauty brand with a digital-first approach. 2020 has seen GLAMOUR swiftly react to the demand for virtual experiences, launching a successful series of virtual events and webinars which have grown brand reach and revenue and added to GLAMOUR’s existing high profile portfolio of events, including the two annual GLAMOUR Beauty Festivals.

GLAMOUR is looking for an experienced Events Director, with a top-class reputation of putting on prestigious, large- and small-scale events and great contacts within the events industry both with partnering brands and production companies.

Pioneering new event ideas is key as is overseeing our extensive portfolio of existing events, from brand dinners and in-house panel evenings to larger summits and events including the fantastic GLAMOUR Beauty Festival in its 6th year.

The successful candidate will be expected to generate creative new ideas for events and be calm and efficient under pressure. Happy to work within a brand team environment, delivering to all major stakeholders.  Endless energy and enthusiasm are essential!

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage brand specific events nationwide from production to execution
  • Run and produce two Glamour Beauty Festivals in London and Manchester working with all teams internal and external and all other brand events
  • Manage virtual events, sourcing hosting and panel talent with the right fit for the GLAMOUR and partner brand
  • Drive incremental revenue via sponsorship and partnerships
  • Manage databases of visitors
  • Run pitches for new suppliers (venues, logistics etc)
  • Liaise with editorial teams/contributors
  • Source and negotiate locations
  • Set up ticketing with agency
  • Manage marketing schedule from outdoor/buses/digital assets and print
  • Run P&L keeping a close eye on profit margins
  • Manage client relations
  • Run the event on the date and manage the staff team rota
  • Source gifts for goodie bags

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an end to end Events Director with a portfolio showing evidence of successful event delivery across scale and budget
  • Strong contacts with sponsors, talent, drinks, florists and venues to offer favourable deals
  • Awareness and understanding of large- and small-scale production companies to partner with and an ability to create major impact with small budgets
