We’re looking for a rockstar to join the band! More specifically, a Research Manager to drive measurement innovation at Spotify. This role will be an integral part of the Audience Research & Measurement team – driving our value proposition with advertisers and agencies by demonstrating the power of Spotify as a media partner.
Partner with our most strategic advertiser and agency partners on research and ad effectiveness strategy and execution
Develop and execute against industry-specific measurement strategies
Contribute to Spotify’s point of view regarding new/current measurement solutions, and educate our Sales and Marketing teams accordingly
Educate internal and external stakeholders on performance trends and best practices to inform business decisions across our business
Provide critical industry expertise – staying ahead of industry trends, methodologies, and 3rd party partnerships, informing Spotify’s measurement strategy accordingly
Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Product to evaluate and onboard new measurement partners and/or custom research projects based on industry needs
Partner with internal stakeholders and clients regarding training and product consultation as needed
Lead measurement vendor relationships for respective capability areas

8+ years in advertising research – at a research vendor, media owner, advertiser or agency partner – with at least 4 of those years working in digital advertising
Proven experience partnering with Top 100 global advertisers and driving measurement strategy in a given expertise area
Broad knowledge of measurement solutions spanning industries; extensive knowledge within CPG, Pharma/OTC, Technology, Financial Services, Entertainment, Automotive and/or Retail/QSR is a plus
5+ Years of audio advertising measurement experience in a multinational company
Strong background in quantitative advertising research, with solid skills in designing and analyzing complex research studies
A successful track record of evaluating and onboarding digital measurement solutions from beginning to end, and working with Product teams to bring new capabilities to life at a technology company
Extensive expertise in these three measurement areas; Reach: viewability, on-target percentage, etc. Resonance: brand awareness, consideration, intent, etc. Reaction: attribution, sales lift, online-to-online, foot traffic, econometric modeling, etc.
An extremely strong knowledge of the digital marketing ecosystem, measurement capability landscape, and how it all works from a technical perspective
Extensive experience in data analysis and storytelling, going beyond the “what” to tell the “why” within research results
Hands-on and inherently curious, going above and beyond if you find data taking you in interesting or unexpected places
A positive and collaborative team player who values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
EMEA-specific measurement experience is required; global research experience is a plus
Skills in big data tools like R, Python or SQL are a plus
