We’re after an ambitious and gifted artworker to help us to elevate our brand and make a difference for good. We believe our brand to be one that's transformative in the world and does more than just sell energy. We need you to think big, and articulate your creativity in the most compelling and inspiring way however big or small the project is.
Our department is responsible for a portfolio of exciting and engaging retail brands, that live and breathe in their own way. We need a creative artworker to support these brands grow and develop as we build our portfolio for a zero carbon future. From engaging emails and letters, affiliate banners, digi ads to touching up photos. The role will be as varied as it is fun.
You will be responsible for building assets for a wide range of internal and external marketing collateral, executing engaging social posts, adhering to brand guidelines and keeping our brands fresh in a fast paced world. Your daily output will involve strong layout, detail oriented presentational work, creation of full marketing assets, sourcing images, ideation and moodboarding. OVO is growing, and we need your design mind to make it even more visually compelling.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Guard the brands you work with and ensure guidelines are always followed
Work with the teams to ensure the integrity of the original concept/brief
Be pro-active and positive and to embrace and be motivated by the prospect of being challenged, looking to make an impact in the wider business.
Is the guardian of our filing and documentation system
Artworking of landing pages, in life and brand emails, banners, competitions, postcards, letters, affiliate banners and digi ads across the retail brand portfolio.
Crop and retouch imagery for final use online
Understand the creative vision of department, working to templates and design tool kits from the design teams.
Ensuring all print and web projects are executed within a time line and on schedule.
Managing personal workload and schedules while actively responding to fluctuating business workloads,
Work with Creative Studio Project Managers
Contribute to other team member’s workload as directed
Raise workload/resource issues
Work with Design, Creative copywriters, Marketing and Commercial teams to deliver excellent visual site imagery with quality and performance.
Work tightly with the Brand and Marketing team; from strategists, marketers, creative producers/project managers and copywriters embedded in the creative studio department.
You will be hands on with cross functional teams from digital to print all the way to the UX/UI community. You’ll assist in creating and delivering final artwork for brand comms, internal comms, events, parties, publications, social / marketing campaigns.
Working at a fast but efficient pace you will serve up creative answers in a multidisciplinary fashion. Always hands on, with bucket loads of fun. Collaborating with creative dept to share our message and visual identity far and wide. You will be responsible for working across the retail brand portfolio and group brands, not just OVO Energy.

Digital guru with an understanding of UI /UX
Ability to clearly articulate your design approach and rationale

Comfortable adhering to existing brand style guides and taking projects from initial layout through to final artwork.
Have a flair for typography and strong layout skills.
A great listener
Experience working with HTML & CMS platforms
Experience working in a fast paced environment
3+ years in a fast paced E-commerce Artworking role
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Figma, sketch and experience working in motion design, HTML and CSS
Can create motion work via gif
Brand awareness and understanding of strategy based logic
Proven track record with creating excellent artwork from concept to production
