Where in the world of OVO will I be working?
We’re after an ambitious, and gifted artworker to help us to elevate our brand and make a difference for good, this role will be working on a specific customer migration project, focusing on delivery of multiple streams of content is key.
We believe our brand to be one that's transformative in the world and does more than just sell energy. We need you to think big, and articulate your creativity in the most compelling and inspiring way however big or small the project is.
Our department is responsible for a portfolio of exciting and engaging brands, that live and breathe in their own way. We need a creative artworker to support these brands grow and develop as we build our portfolio for a zero carbon future. The role will be as varied as it is fun. We are working on migrating customers from one platform to another and we need an artworker to support us with the communication asset delivery for this.
Your daily output will involve strong layout, detail oriented presentational work, creation of full marketing assets, sourcing images, ideation and moodboarding. OVO is growing, and we need your design mind to make it even more visually compelling.
What will I be doing?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Guard the brands you work with and ensure guidelines are always followed
  • Work with the project team to ensure the integrity of the original concept/brief
  • Be pro-active and positive and to embrace and be motivated by the prospect of being challenged, looking to make an impact in the wider business.
  • Crop and retouch imagery for final use online
  • Understand the creative vision of department, working to templates and design tool kits from the design teams.
  • Ensuring all print and web projects are executed within the time line and schedule
  • Managing personal workload and schedules while actively responding to fluctuating business workloads
  • Contribute to other team member’s workload as directed
  • Raise workload/resource issues
You will:
Work tightly with the brand and marketing team on this specific project; from designers to marketers, creative producers and copywriters embedded in the creative studio dept.
You will be hands on with the cross functional team from digital to print. You’ll assist in creating and delivering final artwork for brand & marketing comms. We need someone who can artwork copy into situ on email templates and letters ahead of HTML build to aid us in the delivery of a really important migration project.
Working at a fast but efficient pace you will serve up creative answers in a multidisciplinary fashion. Always hands on, with bucket loads of fun. Collaborating with creative dept to share our message and visual identity far and wide. You will be responsible for working across the retail brand portfolio and group brands, not just OVO Energy.
You will report into Lead designer but work very closely with the senior designer and the senior brand ops manager on the migration project for day to day contact and support.

  • 4+ years in a fast paced E-commerce Artworking role
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Figma, sketch and experience working in motion design, HTML and CSS
  • Can create motion work via gif
  • Brand awareness and understanding of strategy based logic
  • Proven track record with creating excellent artwork from concept to production
  • Proven experience in artworking email communications
