As an Associate Product Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing provision of one or more software products within the ITV Studios technology estate. You will be working with business users, analysts, internal and external developers and cross-functional technology teams to ensure these products remain fit for purpose in an ever-changing landscape. You will be working closely with users, gaining insights into their needs and the needs of the business unit, and collaborating with designers and developers to deliver ongoing improvement and benefit.
The role will entail but not be limited to:
Engage and collaborate directly with users, designers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to drive the product development
Define and prioritise requirements, turning them into testable user stories for upcoming delivery cycles
Manage a product backlog and continuously refine the list of prioritised backlog items with a focus on delivering measurable value and achieving the products vision
Collaborate as a trusted partner with business, product, technology, and operational teams to identify, define, and prioritise opportunities aligned with departmental and company strategy
Provide ongoing support for the product, ensuring it meets user’s operational needs, managing trade-offs, and making informed decisions in a timely manner
Advocate for the product, showcasing its support for the business, services, and interactions with the wider supply chain
Ensure measurable outcomes are achieved in line with departmental and company strategy, demonstrating a clear understanding of their value throughout the organisation.
Make evidence-based decisions using data and analytics gleaned from the product
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
Experience or enthusiasm for working in the media & entertainment industry with an understanding of the television production process.
Professional experience working in a product or project environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of the role of a Product Manager.
Demonstrable experience of working closely with a wide range of user groups and stakeholders.
Experience working in a technology domain and understand the requirements of technical development teams
Ability to research and analyse processes and data and turn insights into actions.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
Experience in a Business Analysis role
Experience working with either/both internal development teams / 3rd party suppliers
Be able to prioritise multiple competing objectives and gain consensus across stakeholder groups, knowing when escalation is required. Experience working within an Agile framework
Passion for keeping up with technology trends and how these might be leveraged in a business environment.
A strong desire to learn and grow in product management
Previous experience working in media, broadcast or marketing
