Job Description
Team you’ll be working in: Spend Clearing & Transactions.
The Spend Clearing & Transactions team is a global product team providing the core functionality to process payments via Wise Cards. Our main area of responsibility is to manage the lifecycle of transactions which includes processing and storing history of multi-step card payments of all types and flows ensuring that we charge our customers correctly. We process millions of transactions which requires us to build highly scalable and robust services to ensure that we provide the best experiences for our customers.
Our mission statement for the Spend and Wise tribe is: Give our customers reliable, easy to use and eventually free way to pay from borderless accounts everywhere in the world.
Qualifications
What we expect from you:
  • You have solid Java 11+ knowledge, experience with Spring framework and microservice best practices
  • A strong product mindset and passion for customer experience, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points
  • Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience
  • Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas
  • You enjoy writing clean and testable code
  • You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems
