We are Canvas8, the global leader in behavioural insights operating out of London, New York, and LA. We help organisations grow through a better understanding of people. Primarily focused on media, communications, and product development, our insights inspire clients including Nike, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google, Mindshare, Ogilvy, and MTV.
Our work is about investigating the hidden insights in everyday life – from the psychology of boredom to teenage make-up rituals – and making them meaningful for brands. Our team is a blend of different disciplines and skills – from psychology to journalism, and anthropology to behavioural economics. What unites them is a desire to understand people and a passion for delivering outstanding work.
Our flagship product is Canvas8 Membership including the Canvas8 Library, an online platform of over 28,000 trend reports and case studies spanning 15 industries and 9 markets. The Library is complemented by our bespoke research projects – where we answer a client’s business challenge through mixed research methodologies to deliver compelling thought leadership.
We’re looking for a strategic thinker and researcher, but we’re not prescriptive about what that means. From psychologists to journalists to behavioural economists, our team doesn't fit in a box – what unites them is a desire to understand people. We call them behavioural analysts.
As part of the behavioural analyst team, you’ll be researching cultural, social, and technological shifts as well as changes in industry. You’ll need to be street smart and willing to get your hands dirty – designing surveys, pouring over data, identifying significant patterns, analysing shifts in society, and writing under tight deadlines. You’ll need to excel at analysing data and problem-solving, have a great awareness of cultural trends, and be emotionally intelligent and a superb writer.
You’ll be a lateral thinker with the strong ability to identify patterns and insights. You’ll have a genuine interest in the world around you, with a strong ability to understand diverse cultures and articulate complex ideas into clear, lively prose. You’ll be curious in your approach and confident in your engaging written skills. This is a fast-moving, progressive environment so open-mindedness and a good sense of humour will be essential.
