Is this the role for you?
Working closely with the Operation Managers, primarily being the point of contact responsible for many business critical functions across Operations, Kids Compliance, Milkshake! and as part of the broader UK brands Broadcast Operations team. To control the deliveries and requests across ViacomCBS’s Kids output, primarily across Nickelodeon and Milkshake! coordinating with our teams in the US, Amsterdam, Warsaw and with our outside partners.
You are someone who is self-motivated in challenging situations, with a keen eye for detail and willingness to persevere to complete a task. You’ll be happy working on your own but also as part of a wider, inclusive team and be able to adapt quickly to a technical workflows. You’ll have the patience to help and explain calmly when you dealing with requests or assistance
What will you be doing?
  • Ingest, quality control and transcodes of programme material for linear transmission and on-demand video platforms
  • Create and upload video material for viewing
  • Corrective editing to make and/or keep material compliant
  • Support and assist the departments involved in making content ready for transmission
  • Liaising with external audio dubbing facilities to make sure localised, revoice material is ready in time.
  • Database media management; housekeeping
  • Check on materials processed and deliveries daily
  • Provide administrative support checking and updating department inboxes and documents for record keeping, and to ensure programming is delivered ready for transmission
  • As directed by Management & Coordinators to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department.
  • Provide practical support for the Broadcast Operations department
  • Embrace the ‘One ViacomCBS’ approach and encourage collaboration and team working
  • Be an ambassador for all VCNI channels, internally and externally
  • Adopt and promote the ViacomCBS values and support a culture of inclusion
What are we looking for?
  • Experience of using media asset management systems
  • Basic knowledge of video standards and file types/codecs ideal
  • Basic knowledge of technical workflows ideal
  • Basic knowledge and experience of Premier, Final Cut Pro & Avid editing ideal
  • IT skills with experience of using both Mac & PC
  • Confidence to liaise effectively with all levels of management and the wider team
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player
  • Highly flexible and multi-skilled in approach to work
  • A love of children’s television and an empathy for Nickelodeon and Milkshake! core values combined with a strong desire to contribute to the channels continued business success
