Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a passionate Business Analyst who will sit within our Technology team and drive development by ensuring that our programmes have all they needs to ensure a successful outcome and a long term client relationship. You will investigate, understand and translate client needs and problems, and with input and agreement from the client, programme or project manager, and the development team, create clearly written requirements documents and user stories.
You will be responsible for analysing and delivering current and target business process models. Using interviews, workshops and document/system analysis, you will help define the existing processes, their weaknesses and options for improving them. Using product owners and where possible knowledge of industry best practices, you will design improved processes which better support business goals and strategies. As part of the team here, you will follow technology trends closely and promote new ideas to the business and your team.
What you’ll do:
  • Work closely with internal teams to analyse and understand client and business needs.
  • Interact directly with clients to extract a comprehensive list of needs and show them the solutions that will work for them.
  • Collect, understand and transmit the business requirements for the project, and translate them into deliverables.
  • Identify fictitious or wasteful business processes and recommend sustainable alternatives.
  • Be the link between the company and the client regarding functionality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Be the point of contact for daily development queries and the communication of business rules and requirements in an agile environment.Produce reports as required showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.
  • Create and maintain documentation that serves as a knowledge base for product development.
  • From time to time, collate business and functional requirements across our international sites (some travel may be required).
  • Coordinate the process of modelling activities from the business and client product owners.
  • Deliver the current and target business process models 
What you’ll need:
  • Ability to understand the software development lifecycle from inception to support.
  • Ability to apply expertise in a variety of methodologies, especially Agile development.
  • Proficiency with software development projects.
  • Experience with UML or formal frameworks e.g TOGAF would be an advantage.
  • Confident in direct interaction with end users.
  • Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes.
  • Demonstrable experience in writing user stories and functional specification documents.
  • Experienced in Agile with Scrum.
