Role: Business Development Manager
We are looking for either a Business Development Manager or an experienced Account Manager interested in business development. The right person will have an irresistible mix of strategic ability and interpersonal skills and be able to work that magic over both single phone calls and prolonged business courtships.
We’re after someone able to embody the no-waffle Waste culture. That will involve developing our distinctively focussed approach to new business: not making 100s of cold calls or spamming on Linkedin, but taking a considered approach based on our real values. We offer top drawer work without the jargon that often comes with it, and we want you to communicate that.
Develop and lead our new business strategy
Follow-up leads regularly and keeps a consistent pipeline of new business opportunities
Design campaigns and activities that will generate new leads
Keep the CRM system up to date with detailed information
Provide regular reports to the leadership team on the pipeline and other new business activity
Help turn client briefs into clear and effective internal briefs
Excellent communication skills in person, on email and over the phone.
Proactive and able to work independently once briefed
Presentable, friendly, trustworthy
Able to build a rapport easily
As a strategic thinker, you will be in charge of designing and leading our new business strategy
Excellent understanding of Social Media and its utility in business development
Passionate about all things digital
Good understanding of public relations will be a bonus
