Clokkemaker is expanding, and we are on the hunt for an exciting new Business Development Manager who is well versed in sales/business development to join our team.
This role is integral to the growth of our business globally. As such, it is fast paced, challenging and dynamic, and offers the chance to experience all facets of Clokkemaker. This role sits at the heart of the business, fueling prospecting efforts, directing pitches and supporting game-changing new business pitches. The ideal candidate comes with agency experience and an amazing black book of contacts; is hungry, brave, focused and able to collaborate proactively with stakeholders in the organisation regardless of seniority and drives the best possible outcome on every pitch.
Develop business and manage deal activity
Identify new business opportunities within tech and entertainment spaces
Identify opportunities and build a pipeline of prioritised deals focused on growing Clokkemaker
Creation of winning pitch decks and collateral
In partnership with the senior leadership team, you will need to lead the business development process from start to finish
Present sales, revenues and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
Achieve growth and hit sales targets
Ensures that client relationships and commercial engagements are managed effectively to ensure successful delivery and long term relationship development
Manage large, complex enterprise deals
Develop and maintain existing corporate accounts to ensure contract renewals
Upsell and leverage business from new and established customer relationships
Work strategically with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver forecasts, identify trending opportunities/challenges, and provide recommended solutions
Constantly keeping up to date with industry and competitor innovation to identify new opportunities
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
5-7+ years of business development/sales experience within an agency
A black book of contacts and relationships
Proven ability to drive sales process from plan to close
Ambition and drive to disrupt the creative and entertainment industry
The ability to hunt new accounts, develop and maintain business within existing accounts and manage complex sales situations and large projects
Demonstrated excellence in presentation skills with ability to build relevant, strategic messaging
Strong collaboration and relational skills
Excellent negotiating skills
Experience with CRM software
Proven business forecasting, pipeline development and management skills
Strong verbal and communication skills
Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
Start-up mentality – self starter, team player, flexible, dedicated and hardworking
