Do you want to play a key role in an organisation which stands up for children? Then join us as Fundraising Campaigns Assistant, providing assistance on our largest mass participation fundraising campaign Christmas Jumper Day.

As Fundraising Campaigns Assistant, you will play a key role in the Campaign Fundraising team which delivers integrated campaigns that provide our supporters with the opportunity to give, buy or fundraise for Save the Children. You will be responsible for our general team support including: 
  • Updating Christmas Jumper Day website
  • Organising all internal Christmas Jumper Day events and internal communications about the event
  • Building marketing and stewardship emails for Christmas Jumper Day
  • Maintaining clear procedures for tracking of income and expenditure
  • Working with the data team to ensure communications to supporters are imported to the database and supporter data is recorded accurately
  • Supporting with social media channels for Christmas Jumper Day, including answering queries, and responding to supporters comments
  • Sending out resources for participants and partners
  • Supporting on evaluations including distributing surveys and tracking responses, and reporting and analysis in order to support project leads
  • Providing other assistant support to wider Campaign Fundraising team, supporting on other fundraising campaigns and emergency appeals when required
To be successful you will have experience supporting a busy team and managing a varied workload. Proactive and enthusiastic, you will have strong written and verbal communication skills. In addition you will have:
  • Previous office-based experience and an interest in fundraising
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships, both internally and externally
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders at different levels within an organisation
  • The ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines
  • The ability to analyse data and produce reports
  • Excellent organisation and customer and/or supporter care skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to follow and maintain processes as well as spot opportunities to create new processes and make efficiencies
  • Experience working with databases

Jobs are positioned within the salary structure on the basis of evaluation. New employees would normally be appointed at the bottom of the grade, however the appointed salary may also take into account the relevant experience a candidate brings to a role.
